We were so sad to learn that Jack had crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but nothing encompasses this wonderful dog like the words of his family:
We had to say goodbye to our boy Jack (formerly Joe Jackson) on Monday, February 13, 2017. Jack became part of our family in January 2009 when his foster mom Nancy gave us her blessing to adopt him. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog. He was our constant companion, traveling with us wherever we went. We liked to say it wasn’t our truck, it was his. If it left the driveway, he was going to be in it. And boy did he love to travel…back and forth to Alaska twice. When the fifth-wheel got hooked up to his truck, he knew he was going somewhere. He was such a social boy. He thought everyone that came to the house was there to see him. He was the camp mascot when we went to Bristol for the NASCAR races.
It’s going to take some time getting used to him not being around. He was such a fighter, but cancer proved to be too big a battle. Rest easy ‘Bubba’.
