UPDATE
Auggie is having a difficult time adjusting to life as a “dog” or blending with family life. He is not as frightened as he was, but still emotionally retreats and connecting with people has not been achieved to a satisfactory level. We aren’t saying he doesn’t have potential, but right now, we are not comfortable adding another change to his life, especially while his foster family is working with him everyday trying to teach him to feel safe, loved, and learning how to adapt to family life. We are beginning to work with a highly recommended trainer and trust she will be extremely helpful, but this will take time. We feel committed and responsible to do the very best for Auggie and are going to proceed to help him adapt to family life and a brighter future.
