UPDATE

1/29/19 MEDICAL UPDATE: We couldn’t be happier for Baysil. Teeth cleaned and only one extraction required. The mass turned out to be nothing significant, so absolutely no problems moving forward. Yes- GREAT NEWS FOR BAYSIL!

2/2/19: Now that Baysil is on the mend, we have succeeded in teaching him to sit, as he definitely will work for treats. He has some energy and is eager to be able to play with other dogs and his tail never appears to stop wagging. He needs to learn his manners, but with patience, direction, and a sufficient amount of treats, we know he will be successful.

It is heartbreaking when we meet a new arrival who has been abandoned at five years old and just trying to survive. Baysil was found as a stray and weighs only 51 pounds, but he has a good appetite, and he will happily sit for as many treats as you will give him. He gently takes the treats and is very attentive when spoken to. Combine that with an especially good disposition and we have no doubt he is a special and deserving pup. We are committed to helping him regain his health and will take care of his medical needs. He is scheduled to be neutered, oral surgery – with potential extractions, and mass removal. After that, he will be well on his way to recovery, and the best place to improve is in a nurturing and loving home.
