Meet Butter!  He is a 10 month old, 40lb yellow lab mix that was found stray in Tennessee.

Personality:  Butter is a friendly, loving boy is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs.  He is so goofy and has a ton of personality!  He’s always happy to be part of the action, whether it’s playtime or just relaxing with his people. Butter has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a perfect fit for a family looking for a loyal and affectionate companion.

Training:  Butter is a well-behaved and smart pup who’s ready to join your home. He is house and crate trained and he walks well on a leash.  He also knows a few basic commands like “sit” and “come.”  He is still a puppy so he will need some help, but he has a great foundation for training!

Butter is a total sweetheart who’s ready to bring lots of love and happiness to his new family!

Updates

Butter is doing great in our home.  He likes to be called “dude.”  He has a great personality and temperament.  He is very affectionate and likes to snuggle up to be petted.  He is a bit of a Velcro dog…..he definitely wants to be a part of the pack!   He is a typical puppy with some morning high energy.  Has taken some shoes but gives them up.   He calms down each day by noon and takes a nap. Sleeps all through the night in my room with me.
He is great with other dogs. He has more energy than my dogs but mine are quite a bit older.  He is good about respecting boundaries.  Although I do not have young children in the home, I would say he would be fine with kids. He is very sweet and loving.
As for training, he knows a lot of the basics.  He is housetrained, but is not a big fan of the crate.  He knows “sit” and “come.”  He is also very well mannered at supper time.  He will lay down with his front paws crossed….which is adorable.  My husband walks him everyday and says he gets better and better with his leash manners.
Overall, he is a great houseguest!  We love him!
