UPDATE

8/29/19 FOSTER UPDATE:  Hi I’m Butterscotch “Buddy” for short! I am thriving in my foster home and loving my foster family, canine and my humans. My super nice furry siblings are great about sharing, and I especially love playing with tennis balls, Nylabones, and I really have a blast with squeaky toys. I love being pet, especially by my gentle, little human. This is likely because of my very soft ears so to show my gratitude, I share lots of kisses.

My foster mom says I’m a sweet wiggle worm since I am always wagging my tail to show my joy at being with a family. She’s says I’m skinny mini and need to gain significant weight.  Considering I’m so underweight, she thought I would be ravenous, but was surprised that I’m a slow eater and gently take treats. I know sit, down, and paw for more attention, and really like to cuddle and lay on a blanket for extra comfort. I go in my crate without trouble and sleep quietly through the night.

Since I am heart worm positive and undergoing proper treatment, I need to remain calm and just have short, leashed walks during the duration of my treatment. My foster mom says I’m being a very good dog, but I really want to run and play fetch! I also am almost housebroken and with only a few potty accidents. They are very proud of me. My foster family keeps saying I am a great boy and any family would be lucky to have me. I would love that too and am waiting for my forever home.
