This precious, 1.5 year old, 54 lb., black beauty is excited to begin a new life and leave her past behind.  Carol came to CLR with three of her 11 week old pups, Marsha, Jan and Cyndi, after owner gave up on them.  Carol is a confident, happy, trusting young lady.  May the kindness of saving this baby girl change not only her world but yours!!

Note: Carol is heartworm positive, and CLR will be responsible for her treatment. Please make sure you keep up with HW prevention.

Updates

Carol has settled into her foster home very nicely and is beginning to feel at home.  She was a little shy when she first arrived, but Carol has warmed up to her foster family and is coming out of her shell.  We’re very glad that she has, because this sweet girl has an amazing personality!  Carol has a very gentle and sweet demeanor and loves to be close to her people.  Most of the time, you can find her on her foster mom’s lap, gently melting in for some pets and snuggles.  Carol has a way of making a person feel so special and loved!

Carol is making great strides in housetraining and had  very few accidents in the past couple of days.  This is saying a lot, considering the fact that her current medications can negatively impact potty training.  Also, she is doing extremely well with crate training and will patiently wait to be let out without causing a fuss.

Carol is a younger little lady, so she can be energetic, as one would expect.  She loves to play with her daughter, Cyndi and her foster siblings.  Carol plays very well with other dogs and does great with children, too.  When Carol isn’t snuggling or romping around in the yard, you will find her snuggled up in a warm place – she settles herself very well.  Carol loves treats and is a very quick learner!

Carol would do well in any home that can provide her the standard amount of exercise, training and leadership.   She’s a very special girl with a great big heart that is definitely worn on her sleeve!
