Meet Cher! She is an 8 year old, 77lb yellow lab that was found stray in Tennessee.
Personality: Cher is an 8-year-old lab who is finally experiencing the love and comfort she deserves. She’s a gentle soul who thrives in a quiet, safe space where she can decompress from her past experiences. Cher enjoys spending her days lounging on her favorite dog bed in her crate, observing the world and choosing when she wants to interact. She loves snuggling on her own terms, offering a sweet and calm presence. While sudden movements and loud noises startle her, she finds comfort in her crate, which serves as her peaceful retreat. Cher’s quiet nature means she rarely makes a sound, except for some adorable snores during her naps.
Training/Temperment: Cher has a good appetite and accepts treats with a very gentle mouth. She is currently on medication for her allergies, and she takes her pills easily with meals. While ear cleanings and baths aren’t her favorite, Cher tolerates them if done with kindness and encouragement. Cher walks beautifully on a leash, enjoying the smells of the neighborhood on her daily strolls. Though she tends to ignore other dogs, she is comfortable being around them. Car rides are a bit of a challenge for her, but with some encouragement and a helping hand to get in, she rides quietly and well.
Interests:
Cher enjoys the simple pleasures in life—like lounging in the cool mulch of the backyard, taking a nap, or occasionally playing with a ball.
