When we learned about Duce’s plight, we could not leave him behind. He is a 7-year-old, under 60 pound male, who was trained to hunt, but apparently, isn’t a fan of fireworks or thunderstorms, which although surprising, is not uncommon. One look into his soulful eyes probably tells his complete story. He was found by animal control who was able to find the owners. They said he didn’t stay in the yard (we presume no fence), so they didn’t want him back. We also discovered he is another heartworm positive pup, so have begun his treatment. He loves other dogs and people and those he met on his journey to CLR were all comforted knowing he would find a good home.
