UPDATE 9/15/20: We received word today that Dunner is Heartworm Positive. He has already started treatment and can still be adopted, he will just need to come in for treatment.
Hey there dog lover…I’m Dunner! I’m three years old and 67lbs. People tell me I’m a little too big to be classified as a “lap dog”, but I still like to sit in peoples’ laps and give lots of kisses. I also LOVE water! Going home with a family who could give me the occasional garden bath would be a dream come true.
Dunner is extremely friendly – his foster described him as the perfect, wiggly-butted piece of chocolate without the calories. He gets along well with other dogs both big and small. He has even met a horse and is horse friendly as well! Dunner was originally found stray as a puppy three years ago and was adopted out by the finder. Fast forward three years, and Dunner is picked up as a stray again. After being scanned for a chip he was returned to the original foster/finder, who (thankfully!) reached out to Cincinnati Lab Rescue to help find this beautiful boy a forever home. In spite of his ever-changing circumstances, Dunner did phenomenally in the car during transport to Cincinnati and was nothing but a lover. All signs point to him adjusting quickly to his new home.
