UPDATE
7/29/19: As you have read, through no fault of his own, Franky is back with his foster family. He transitioned back very easily because he is just a happy go lucky kind of guy! This latest picture is of Franky chilling while we had a new roof put on! The noise and activity did not even phase him! He remains sweet and loving as he patiently awaits his forever home!
7/10/19 UPDATE: One of Franky’s family dogs has not accepted him into their pack and to keep everyone safe, they have made the difficult decision to allow another family to make him part of their family. His mom just sent us the following message:
“Sweet Franky wants nothing more than to be close to his humans, snuggle up, and give wet kisses. Franky has learned to patiently “sit & stay” while waiting for his meals, loves running around the yard with 2 of his older fur brothers and really loved our visit to the Little Miami River. He is very well-behaved on our morning walks and is intrigued with birds and squirrels. He loves chasing his human sister’s remote control Jeep and hasn’t met a vacuum, lawn mower or roomba that scares him. He relaxes/sleeps well both in and out of his crate and hasn’t had an accident in the house. He is full of lots of puppy energy and is wonderful with our kids. I know this gentle soul will make one very lucky family very happy.”
7/2/19 FOSTER UPDATE: Wow – Franky! What a big, goofy, lover. He moved into his foster home and easily made himself right at home. He is a good boy who sleeps through the night in his crate and walks well on a leash. This guy adores bones, any bone, deer antler, Kong, or Nyla bone, so we are making sure to keep a plentiful supply. Add on his love for tennis balls and he is always ready to chase a tennis ball. Franky is friendly, enthusiastic, inquisitive (or nosey) and hasn’t met a human or another dog he doesn’t love. He is a very handsome boy with long legs that never end. He’s only 67 lbs and needs to gain some weight, but with his enthusiasm for food, we expect he’ll fill out nicely.
Franky has good manners. He does not beg for food, but you need to be prepared for a pleading stare. He also has excellent behavior when greeting people and does not jump on them. Not only does he think he’s a lap dog, but he wants to shower us with kisses while on our laps, so we are working on learning about personal space and he is responding well to “off” and “no” and wants to please his humans! He also sits on command and takes treats gently. This beautiful, playful soul is nothing short of perfection. He is so deserving of a forever home and will make a loyal, loving friend to some very lucky person or family!
