Gracie May is 5 year old, 48 lb. silver lab mix. She was placed into foster immediately by CLR and below is the initial foster update on Gracie May.
Gracie is a wonderful dog who is very sweet. She loves her belly rubs and likes to snuggle. She is enjoys being inside or outside but especially loves walks in the neighborhood and going for car rides! She walks well on the leash with no pulling. She is so well mannered and it is obvious whoever trained her did a great job. She will give you her paw on command but will also give it to us anytime she wants more pets or belly rubs! Gracie appear to have no interest so far with playing fetch or playing with toys but does get excited in yard and does “zoomies.”
Gracie is good with kids and other dogs. She is great with our neighbor’s 2 year old child and with other dogs whether on walks or playing together in yard. She is great with both men and women when meeting them.
Gracie is house trained. Because she is such a smart dog, we are working on training her to ring bell on door if wants to go out. Gracie does not desire to go to the bathroom that often during the day. In addition, Gracie is perfectly fine with freedom to roam the house when we are gone as she does not like to be crated or left in blocked off room. Upon our return, she is always very excited to meet and greet us. She sleeps through the night just fine without being crated.
Gracie does fine with eating. She likes to eat one meal in the morning. She eats at a calm rate and at times will leave food in her bowl.
Gracie is a great dog. We feel so spoiled having her as our foster dog.

FOSTER UPDATE
Gracie has been doing well in foster. We had our family in town and they brought their dogs and she did great with all of the new dogs and humans! She also spent some time with the neighbor’s dog over the 4th of July – they do very well together!
We are typically home with her throughout the day(work remotely), and she is a great companion. She whines occasionally when we leave but is very happy and excited when we return. She has great house manners – No accidents, no destruction, very well behaved. She is happy to sit and lay on the porch or yard, take walks or just lay around the house inside. She absolutely loves to take car rides.
Gracie is ready to make a great addition to her forever family!
