When Henry’s family shared the devastating news that he crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we were also crushed. Not only because Henry was too young to be so medically compromised, but because he was the most lovable and wonderful dog. He loved his toys and was never too far from his favorite donut. He was such a gentle, sweet dog who gently carried his toys like his prized possessions.
If there is any consolation, perhaps it is knowing he was deeply loved by his family. According to them, “We absolutely were in love with this beautiful, perfect boy.” When he deteriorated, they made the heartbreaking and frankly, loving decision to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge. His beloved vet came to their house, where he was surrounded by love.
The family’s closing words to us completely encapsulates the depth of their loss, “Again, we are devastated, and heartbroken. Henry was The. Best. Dog. Even knowing how things ended, we all agree we would not have changed a thing. The nearly 3 years we spent with him were the absolute best. He was one in a million, and we will miss him forever.
