Hope – and the meaning of rescue

RIP SWEET HOPE

hope1

With a very heavy heart and many tears, we said goodbye to sweet Hope today as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  She was a beautiful gift to all her knew her.

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we want to let you know sweet Hope lost her battle with illness today. As you all know, Hope was being fed by Josh, a kind soul up north who knew she deserved better and reached out for help. We thank you Josh for caring for Hope and helping her find her way to CLR.  Hope had several wonderful people trying to help her to safety. Our volunteers, Andy, Monica and Chris then made the long journey north to bring Hope home.  The three of you should feel very proud for saving such a beautiful life.

Andy was bound and determined to help Hope from the minute he heard about her plight.  During the month Hope lived with Andy, he gave her the most compassionate and devoted care most dogs could only dream of. Hope required IV fluids, a plethora of meds, had to eat upright and at the end needed to be carried. Andy never complained and was determined to make Hope better. Although it was not meant to be, Hope was able to live the last month of her life in a comfortable, fun, and very loving home.
Today was an extremely painful day, but Hope crossed the Bridge in peace surrounded by love.
Thanks to all of you for your constant support of CLR. I think we are the lucky ones to be surrounded by these kind, amazing and goofy Labs:).
