Jet is a 1 year old, 62 lb. very sweet, happy boy who was an owner surrender.  Jet is good with dogs and people.  He has a lot of energy but can easily be calmed down by giving him affection.   Jet knows how to sit on command but needs leash training.  Jet would enjoy going on long walks and running in a fenced yard.  Jet is waiting to find a new partner as he desires along lasting companion.  Below is the background story from Jet’s rescuer explaining why he is at CLR:

Jet was my elderly neighbor’s dog.  She had him since he was a very young pup.  She took good care of him and he has never had a bad experience.  He is a very sweet young boy.    Jet is housebroken and does have some leash manners.  He knows some commands but is inconsistent with his response to the commands because continuous practice was not enforced.  He can jump a normal 4 ft fence so he would need a 6 ft or an invisible fence.  The owner fell and broke her hip and while in the hospital had a mild stroke.  She is going into an assisted living facility where she can not have Jet.  Jet’s owner loved him very much and kept up with his healthcare.  She surrendered Jet to me to rehome him or get him into a rescue.

VOLUNTEER UPDATE

Jet was a pleasure walking today. He did a great job walking on the leash with two other CLR dogs, Coleman and Sam. He is a very happy dog who loves other dogs! He enjoys playing and wrestling with other playful, friendly dogs as the video shows. He would be a great family dog.
