It is ways one of our saddest days when we endure the loss of a beloved pet. Joey was the heart of her family, and they are missing their beloved girl. Our words cannot replace the heartfelt words of her dad when he stated,
Margo and I said goodbye to our sweet Joey last Saturday. Joey joined our pack as a foster girl back in 2007, a scared and timid product of a puppy mill. Jake, Maisy, and Seamus all loved Joey very much and helped her learn how to be a dog. Her transformation was remarkable, and she taught me a lot about love, patience, and resilience.
Joey was always gentle and polite. She shared a genuine and simple happiness with the world around her. She never met a stranger, and was even comfortable on air, appearing several times on tv with me. She enjoyed relaxing, lounging, exploring the yard, smiling, and meeting new people. Joey immediately welcomed Margo, earning a special place in Margo’s heart.
St. Thomas Aquinas writes in the Summa Theologica that the souls of animals are not subsistent. But he never met Joey. Her sweet soul will live with us forever. We love you Jo.
Rest in Peace, beautiful Joey
