UPDATE
4/19/20 – KT is doing great with her training and responding very well to remote training. She is one very smart girl, and it is evident that she is flourishing with training, consistency, and understanding expectations. She is definitely finding her way…
4/3/20 FOSTER UPDATE: KT is slowly adjusting to her foster home. She has proven to know a few commands: sit, down, and waits for permission to eat. If she begs a little, she responds well to a no command too. She is a definite pleaser and is happiest being by your side.
This blonde beauty is the mom for the new pups that we successfully adopted. They were all owned by an elderly couple with failing health and they surrender all of them to a shelter. KT is a very sweet and friendly two-year-old who adores people but does not do well with other dogs. She needs to be the only dog in the home and perhaps in time she can be presented to other dogs, but currently, she needs to avoid any introductions. Her transporters all commented on her good temperament too and considering the stress for a dog during transport, we think that is the ultimate compliment. We look forward to helping KT settle into her new home.
4-16-20: Katie needs some confidence building and guidance, so she just began a residential week-long training program. We know this will be the key to help her adjustment into a forever home. Like so many of our foster dogs, she needs extra help to understand she is finally safe and her future will be bright.
