Kobe, another abandoned pup who was found as a stray, is only 2.5 years old. He only weighs 36 pounds, so one of our primary goals is to put some weight on this adorable lab/hound and restore him to a healthy weight. We never can resist those hound ears or adorable faces. In spite of being on his own, he is a very friendly pup. At least he no longer will need to wonder where his next meal will come from. He is safe in our care until he finds his forever home.
After receiving Kobe’s medical report, we learned he is HW positive. He has started medication and will begin his treatment the first of next week. Once his treatment begins, he will be ready to leave. The only special requirement is limited activity, and he will need to return in a month for his final injection. This is news we receive far too often and want to remind everyone to please maintain a regiment of Heartworm Prevention.
