UPDATE
At only 6 months, we learned yesterday that sweet, little Lizzie is borderline heartworm positive. The vets were so surprised, they had her tested 3 times to verify the report. She has started her medication and will have her injections to combat the HW early next week. She is definitely adoptable, but will need limited activity and return for her final treatment in a month. We most definitely would love for her to be with a family rather than spending time recuperating in a kennel so will hope this is not a deterrent. We have not doubt that she will be 100% fine and a wonderful and loving companion.
