Lake is a 9 month old, 31 lb. (underweight) bundle of sweetness!  She will melt your heart as she is calm, snuggly, gives lots of kisses and is just super sweet.  Lake was found at a dumpster with other dogs before coming to CLR.  The pictures of her capture her beauty and friendly demeanor.

FOSTER UPDATE
Lake has been with us for a short period of time. She is a very sweet, loving girl. She is very calm for still being a puppy. Occasionally, she will jump when greeting new arrivals. Lake is very confident when meeting new people and will eagerly approach them with tail wags and kisses. We are working on learning the word “off”. Lake is very much a people pleaser, so she is easily corrected. She likes to sit by you or even snuggle in your lap, if invited.

Lake has nicely adjusted with our two larger, playful dogs (2 yrs and 4 yrs old). She enjoys hanging with them, chewing toys and laying in the yard with them. She is a bird and rabbit dog for sure. Currently, Lake prefers the hard bones compared to other toys including balls. She is very confident with them stealing their bones and curling up next to them in their dog beds and/or on the couch. Lake enjoys taking walks with them walking by their side, not pulling, and acting like a big dog like them along the walk. Lake is great in the car as well.

Lake has not had any accidents in the house nor the crate. She does appear to be crate trained as she will go into her crate upon command. Once in the crate, she will whimper or about 5 to 10 minutes and then settle. We crate her at nighttime and when we leave the house.

Lake is underweight but has been eating very well. We feed her in a separate room from our other two dogs twice a day. She has no problem eating her food all in one sitting and eats at a normal pace. Lake is very treat motivated and knows how to sit. She is a very observant, smart dog so training her to know other commands should come easy.

It is apparent that Lake has spent very little time in a house as she lacks confidence not knowing what she is allowed to do and how to live in the home by herself. She is a quick learner as she has mastered climbing up and down the stairs very quickly. Currently, she prefers staying by your side having you guide her and provide her positive reinforcement. In return, she gives you a fair amount of kisses.

No doubt, Lake will win your heart upon meeting her. Any family would feel blessed having Lake as their outstanding, lovable companion with all her cuteness packaged with it!!
