Leia is a 19 week old, 36 lb. bundle of sweetness. She came from a breeder and surrendered them to the shelter at 8 weeks old. When she arrived at CLR, poor little Leia was very sick with a respiratory illness. Leia has been in foster care and was nursed back to health by her amazing foster mom. She is now ready to find her forever family! Below is Leia’s foster update.

When we chose the name Princess Leia, I had no idea how accurate it would be. She’s definitely my little princess and a firecracker. Such a fighter. And she just has the biggest personality! Leia exudes confidence at all times. She loves to be the center of attention and doesn’t put up with shenanigans from her siblings or foster brothers. I truly believe that Leia is under the impression that she’s 10 feet tall.

She’s doing great with potty training and happily goes to her crate when asked. She settles herself well and never makes a sound when crated.

Even though Leia is super independent and confident, she still loves snuggle time. When I give her scratches, she leans her little head into my chest and closes her eyes. She’ll lay on my chest for hours.

Leia is an absolute miracle and the toughest little pup I’ve ever met. She has overcome so much and came out even stronger!
