MOUSSE – ADOPTED

Hey there – I’m Mousse! I’m 1.5 years old, and at 74lbs I’m a big boy! I’m verrrrry active…I LOVE to play ball! I hope I can go to a home with a fenced in yard so I can run and run and run!

Mousse is a Lab/Chessie mix whose journey to CLR began when his former owner’s adult children adopted him as a birthday gift for their father. He’s super friendly towards humans and other large dogs, but liked to chase the small dog he lived with around. Surely he just wanted to play with the little guy! We aren’t sure how he’ll do with cats or children yet.

Mousse has made some progress on training so far: he knows “heel” when walking on a leash and understands “no”. He’s  working on “sit” – he’ll sometimes sit if a ball is held overhead, but not consistently. He understands “lay down” but isn’t fully comfortable with it yet. We’re still working on housetraining. Mouse’s training hasn’t been reinforced with any treats yet…we’re sure he’d learn quickly if given a snack or two!
