Sadly, River and Scout’s family has fallen on some unpredictable and challenging times, and they are not in a position to keep them. They are both wonderful, even-tempered 4 year old litter mates who were originally adopted as puppies. They are a bonded pair, but their mom thinks they would both be okay if separated, as long as their is another dog in the home. Of course, we we love to keep them together, but know that isn’t always possible.
Scout is a very laid back and easy going dog. He gets along with children, other dogs, and is somewhat curious about cats but not interested in pursuing anything. Of the two dogs, Scout is an investigator and protector and will bark to let you know when anyone or anything unusual is on our property. It’s so tender how
Scout shows his affection by rubbing his head on your leg and then staring deeply into your eyes. He’s a very sweet boy. Scout does like to chew on sticks, buffalo horns, and antlers and like most labs, he will eat anything you put in front of him. Scout does not like loud places and isn’t a big fan of car rides. Fortunately, he doesn’t get car sick, he just prefers to be on firm ground. Scout’s big hind legs prevent him from jumping as it is a challenge, so there is no need to be worried about his large over 100 pound frame of knocking you over.
It is diet time for Scout to help him regain a more healthy weight. He is currently over 80 pounds. Other than that, he is a wonderful, healthy dogs with dispositions to match his good looks.
