UPDATE

1/13/19 FOSTER UPDATE: Ruthie (formally Rufus) is the perfect dog. She is loving, likes all dogs, loves everyone, House broke, trustworthy out of the crate, sleeps in her bed in my bedroom, doesn’t bark, has fun playing when you want her to play, small size, doesn’t love food, great in the car, sits on command, low key, good teeth and 6 years old! I just love this dog! She hasn’t left my side since I picked her up! She wants to please and is always looking for instructions!

You can only imagine our surprise when we were contacted by the SPCA informing us they had one of our dogs. After a great deal of investigating, we learned that Ruthie (formerly Rufus & Puggles) was indeed a dog who was adopted several years ago. We then learned the sad news that her dad suddenly passed away, and the family did not know that Ruthie had once been a CLR dog. Fortunately, we were contacted, and Ruthie is safely back in our care. The best part of this adventure is one of our wonderful fosters immediately brought her home to join their pack until she found a new home. She is doing great with all her dogs, is truly a very sweet and lovable, diminutive lab mix lady at a little under 40 pounds. Outside of a dog’s basic needs, the only thing Ruth really requires is a few daily belly rubs.
