UPDATE
3/15/19 FOSTER UPDATE: Tasha-Cerbie has been in her foster home with us for 2 weeks and has made tremendous improvement! Cerbie is such a sweet, loving, playful but gentle girl. She is a petite girl. She was terrified at first coming into a new environment. New humans, dogs, and changes were scary for her. It took about 2 days to adjust and to feel comfortable. House trained 100% after the first 2 days ( mostly due to nervousness and changes ).
It took some encouraging and coaxing for Cerbie to eat her food but now she can’t wait to finish her meal; although she tries to save some pieces for later! Cerbie was scared to even go outside and off the back deck when she first arrived. Now she enjoys being outside running through the yard with her foster brother and sister labs and playing with the small neighbor dog.
Cerbie instantly connected with my toddler wagging her tail and giving him kisses. She is very gentle with him and is always eager for him to wake up! She also enjoys chewing on nylabones. While she hasn’t found much interest in squeaky toys, she does enjoy lying next to you and receiving affection.
Cerbie sleeps without a peep! Her crate isn’t her favorite spot, but she will go in with encouragement, a treat, and scoot! She has not chewed anything up, including blankets. Because of her wonderful temperament, Cerbie would do well in a home with other dogs and children!
