WILLIS – ADOPTED

Hi friends…I’m Willis! You can also call me Bruce Willis – I respond to that too! I’m four years old and weigh 67lbs. I’m a sweet, gentle boy who loves absolutely everyone. I’ve had a bit of a medical journey since arriving at Cincinnati Lab Rescue – thankfully, CLR is willing to take on medical cases and do whatever it takes to ensure dogs like me find their forever home!

Willis’s came to CLR from Mississippi, where he was found stray and turned in to a local shelter. Everyone who has had a chance to meet him describes him as a calm and gentle soul. He’s happy, friendly, and an extremely loveable dog! Willis is excellent on a leash and doesn’t pull at all. He knows “Sit” and is working on growing more comfortable in his crate. He LOVES playing with toys and balls, and is such a good boy – he doesn’t chew anything other than his toys! Willis is doing well on housetraining as well.

During transport to Cincinnati, Willis was an excellent passenger and made the perfect shotgun rider up front. He did have to be lifted in and out of the car a few times, and anyone who has lifted him can confirm he’s a biiiiig boy! We know he’s going to make some lucky family so happy very soon.

Medical Note: Willis has a minor twitch and slight head bobbing. Both our vet and the neurologist suspect focal seizures. Willis was prescribed an anti-seizure medication which, depending on its efficacy, should help with the diagnosis. The neurologist is hopeful that in time it may just go away. If not, he can still live a normal life with no foreseeable problems moving forward. Needless to say, we are delighted to learn that this wonderful dog has so much to look forward to when he settles in his forever home!
