Meet Luna! She is a 9 month old, 50lb black la mix that was found stray in Kentucky.   She is sister to Lola.

Personality:  Luna is a gentle, affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. Though she’s a bit more shy than her sister Lola, once she feels comfortable, she can’t get close enough—she’ll happily crawl into your lap or lean into every cuddle. Volunteers describe her as a true lovebug who thrives on human affection. She’s friendly with kids, other dogs, and every person she meets. Luna also has some beautiful brindle markings that make her as unique on the outside as she is on the inside.

Luna lights up when she’s with her sister Lola—they play, snuggle, and bring out each other’s confidence and joy. While she can be adopted on her own, she’d thrive in a home where she could stay with her sister and best friend.

Training:  Luna is treat-motivated and already knows the command “sit.” She listens fairly well, especially when food is involved, and is eager to please. She walks okay on a leash and enjoys playing fetch. Because she can be a little nervous and unsure in new environments, she’ll benefit from continued reassurance, routine, and positive reinforcement. With consistency and love, Luna will continue to grow into a confident and devoted companion.
