Meet Keely!  She is a 1 year old, 68lb black lab mix that was found stray in Mississippi.

Personality:  Keely is a fun-loving, happy pup who has settled in quickly and is already showing her sweet and goofy side. She’s still in her puppy phase—full of energy, playful antics, and a knack for keeping life exciting. Shoes, toys, and just about anything else catch her attention, and she isn’t shy about reminding you she’s still learning what’s hers and what isn’t. She’s affectionate, joyful, and loves to be part of the action.

Because of her mouthy play style and big bursts of energy, Keely would do best in a home with older kids. She shouldn’t live with cats or very small dogs, as she’s too tempted to chase little animals. With her fun spirit and love of people, she’ll thrive in an active household that keeps her engaged and moving.

Training:  Keely may be young, but she’s already got a strong foundation to build on. She slept through the night in her crate without a fuss, is fully house-trained, and takes treats gently. She has no signs of resource guarding and responds well to correction. Right now, she doesn’t know any commands, and while she walks on a leash with enthusiasm, she tends to zig-zag and pull a bit.

She’s bursting with energy, which can sometimes turn into mischievous puppy behavior, so regular exercise and a consistent training routine are a must. With patience, structure, and positive reinforcement, Keely is going to blossom into a fantastic companion.
