Meet Gryff! He is a 9 year old, 85lb lab and Pyrenees mix that was surrendered by his owner after a family member developed severe allergies. Gryff arrived with his buddy Dobby, and we would love to see them find a home together.
Personality: Gryff is a sweet and affectionate boy who thrives on being close to his people. He has an infectious personality…he is one happy dog! He loves snuggles and ear scratches and being close to his people. Gryff is playful but not overly toy-motivated. He will occasionally have a romp in the yard/play session with the other dogs. Gryffs biggest joy comes from going on walks. He loves an adventure! He does the cutest tippy tap dance when it is time for a stroll.
Training: Gryff already has a great foundation in the home. He knows basic commands, is house trained, and can be trusted with free rein in the house. He does not enjoy a crate. He rides well in a car and is very well behaved. Gryff has great leash manners. He does like to bark at other dogs on walks but can be easily redirected.
This sweet boy is easy to manage, eager to please, and ready to settle into his forever home.

Foster Update: Gryff and Dobby are settling in to their foster home! While they were a little nervous at first, their personalities are shining through more and more each day.
Gryff is the more outgoing and affectionate of the two, always ready to soak up attention. Dobby is a little more reserved at first but has quickly shown how much he loves his people. He’s happiest following his human around, keeping a quiet eye on things.
Dobby loves to carrying his stuffed bear around. It’s adorable! Gryff isn’t interested in toys, but he loves to look out the window and watch the world go by. They both love being outdoors—especially keeping watch for squirrels—and enjoy going for walks. Car rides are no problem for them either.
Both boys have excellent house manners. Aside from a couple of accidents as they adjusted to the new routine (which is expected), they’ve been wonderful house guests.
These two are proving to be sweet, easy companions who are adjusting so well. We can’t wait to find them their forever family!
