When we learned about Ava’s plight, we knew we had to help. Ava is only 4 months old, and her family surrendered her because they could not afford the medical care when they discovered her broken leg. It was not a new fracture, but our vet was able to repair her leg and fortunately, the break was not near her growth plate, so the prognosis is good. Her activity level is restricted for 8-12 weeks, and then she will be able to let her puppy cuteness shine. It is difficult to understand how this could happen to an innocent little pup, and we do not know how she was injured, but we would rather focus on helping her secure a better future. Sweet little Ava needs a home to provide her the care, security, and love she needs as she continues to heal and begin her life as a wonderful companion for her new family.
