Meet Benny!  He is a 4 year old, 115lb lab mix that was surrendered by his owner after a divorce.

Personality:  Benny is a fun-loving, outdoorsy guy who enjoys life’s simple pleasures—like running around the yard, playing with other dogs, and enthusiastically de-stuffing his favorite toys. He’s happiest when he’s outside soaking up fresh air or hanging out with his people. At home, he loves mealtime (and will gladly “help” clean up any crumbs he finds!). He’s a sweet, social companion who loves treats, playtime, and being part of the action.

While he’s a playful spirit, Benny has a few things he could do without—like car rides, rain, and baths. He’s not a fan of water in general, but that just means you’ll always stay dry together!

Training:  Benny is fully house trained and knows the word “cage,” going into his crate willingly when asked. He plays well with other dogs . He’s food-motivated, which makes training easier.

Benny is looking for a loving home that appreciates his goofy personality and playful energy—someone who’ll laugh at his quirks, give him plenty of time outdoors, and enjoy all the love he has to give.

Updates

Benny LOVES to play — when he’s excited, he’ll grab as many toys as he can fit in his mouth and prance proudly around the yard. Despite his size, he’s all heart and sweetness. He’s dog and kid friendly, though because he doesn’t quite realize how big he is, a home with older kids would be best.

This big guy has great manners, too! Benny is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash with a training collar, and knows sit, paw, and leave it. Once he learns another dog’s boundaries, he’s very respectful — we’ve been so impressed with how quickly he adjusts.

Benny would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can romp and play, followed by long naps taking up half your couch. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, treat-loving companion who’s eager to please, Benny might just be your guy!
