There is always something about a senior dog that grabs our hearts. 7-year-old, 63 pound Birdy came to us from a local shelter. When we learned about her, we knew we could not leave her behind. When one of our volunteers went to access her, she reported everything positive about her temperament, which basically added up to a very sweet dog. Birdy was found as a stray, and it appears she has not received the best care. Fortunately, her only current need is to be spayed and oral surgery. which is definitely doable. We know there are families that understand the benefit of bringing a tender-hearted senior into their home to enjoy her golden years surrounded by a loving family.
