Meet Buddy! He is a 5 year old, 75lb yellow lab that was found stray in Missouri.
Personality: Buddy is full of love and enthusiasm for everyone he meets—dogs and people alike. True to his name, Buddy wants to be everyone’s best friend and will happily shower you with kisses if given the chance. He’s a classic Lab through and through, with a big heart and an even bigger “Lab lean” when he’s soaking up attention.
Training: Buddy knows “sit” and will politely offer his paw, especially when treats are involved—he takes them gently, too! While he’s still working on his leash manners (he’s a strong boy with lots of excitement for the world), his friendly nature and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for training. With consistency, patience, and a little structure, Buddy will quickly become the perfect walking companion.
Medical Disclosure: Buddy arrived with pre-existing leg injuries that are causing some lameness. Upon testing and examination, he had a fractured femoral head and tibia as well as a torn ACL – presumably from a few years ago. We are currently evaluating to determine next steps.
