Sweet little Griffin was found and once he arrived at a shelter, they reached out to see if we would help him. He is only 1.5 years old and not a very big boy, but he has a big heart and adores people and other dogs. He is tested positive for Lyme disease, but is not symptomatic, so that isn’t creating any problems. He was also treated for a skin infection but on the mend. Please read his foster’s update to learn more about this precious pup. We know his sweet temperament will capture your heart and it’s time for him to learn what a loving home can provide for this neglected little fella.
1/31/20 FOSTER UPDATE: I wanted to send along an official update now that we’ve had a chance to get to know Griffin. Grif f is such a cute little guy and he’s settled in very well! Overall, he is a very calm and happy boy and I sometimes forget he’s even here. I wouldn’t say that Griffin is your typical young pup at all – he’s pretty mature for his age. He may have some moments of energy and excitement, but he is easily corrected if he forgets himself. Griffin is a very good listener, and eager to learn what is expected of him – he knows to sit and down and he will quickly respond to no (no matter what he’s doing), which comes in handy if he gets a little rambunctious. Griff knows not to jump, and will instead sit for pets while doing a little dance of excitement with his front paws. I’ve had a couple of visitors, and he has jumped in that exciting moment, so he still needs some work on this. Griff has learned crate training very well and doesn’t make a big fuss when he’s in there. But he does love to be with his people! He’s a little snuggle bug, and loves to give the gentlest kisses!!
