JIMMIE – ADOPTED

Hi – I’m Jimmie! I’m 1.5 years old and weigh 59lbs. I’m an all-star cuddler who loves kids, other dogs, and giving hugs! I’m currently living with children, another dog, a cat, and chickens…I love everybody! 

Jimmie is an incredibly sweet, happy dog. He originally arrived to Cincinnati Lab Rescue with an injury to his right front leg. He’d been hit by a car in Pike County, KY and owner surrendered. Our vets determined surgery wasn’t the best course of action for Jimmie’s leg. He was put in a cast for several weeks and adopted by a wonderful family who took him home to heal. As Jimmie has recovered and been weaned off of medication, it’s now clear that he has too much energy for his adoptive family’s senior dog. He isn’t picking up on cues that she’s too old to play. His family is heartbroken as they love him SO much and have watched him progress through his recovery; however, it is in everyone’s best interest to find Jimmie a new home where he can be his playful self!

Jimmie is very food motivated and eager to please. So far, he’s been very easy to train! He is fully housebroken and is walking well on a leash. He is crate trained and truly does love other dogs. He would do exceptionally well in a family with other young dogs for him to play with. Jimmie’s leg is fully healed – he walks with a little limp, but he doesn’t let it slow him down! This boy has had quite the journey. Let’s get him in his forever home!
