3/9/21 UPDATE: Penny’s current family will continue to foster her until she’s found her true forever home. Submit an application today if Penny feels like a good match!
Hi friends – I’m Penny! I’m roughly four or five years old. I’m a pretty athletic girl! My favorite thing to do is go to the park… especially if you throw me the ball or frisbee! I also love hikes, though I’m a pretty fast hiker. You’ll have to see if you can keep up!
Penny was originally found stray and taken to Animal Friends Human Society in Hamilton back in October 2018. From there, she was transported to Cincinnati Lab Rescue and quickly adopted by her new family. Her current owners have made the difficult decision to rehome her. Penny is an active girl who needs space to exercise, and they feel they don’t have the time needed to give her the life she deserves. Her dream home would have a large fenced yard where she won’t be distracted by walkers or other dogs next door. She’s been great with people, kids, and other dogs, but she does have a hard time containing her excitement when she sees other pups. While she responds to corrections decently well, Penny will need a home that reinforces training. We had a chance to meet Penny during adoption appointments one Saturday, and she was a very talkative lady! She enjoys walking on a leash and has gotten some basic training from Off Leash Dog Training as well. We know there’s another amazing family out there that will be a perfect fit for this beautiful lady!
Cincinnati Lab Rescue is a 100% percent volunteer organization and depends on donations and adoption fees. Without this, we could not possibly sustain our organization. Thank you in advance! Donate Now
