Introducing Pierce, a 5-year-old, 60lb black lab!  This lovable boy is originally from Kentucky, and he found himself in need of a new home after being abandoned by his owner.  He was left behind and wandered house to house looking for food and love.  Pierce was eventually surrendered to a shelter with the hopes that he could find a forever family.  But, fear not!  Better days are ahead!

Pierce is here to win your heart with his playful spirit, sweet nature, and affectionate personality.  And just look at that face!  He is so adorable with those big eyes and little gray beard!

Pierce is well-mannered and has mastered the art of housetraining and walks like a pro on a leash.  He knows most of the basics….yay, Pierce!

Pierce has a great personality and temperament.  He loves humans!  That said, we do believe that he would be most comfortable as an only dog.  He is very stressed in kennel environment.

Pierce is such a great boy and would make a great addition to any family!

Updates

12 hour update! Pierce is great. He is the sweetest, mellowest, quietest pup. I have not heard him bark yet. And very lovable. But I do not think he knows any commands. I’ll update as I get to know him better. He is a great dog!

Piece has been in foster care for about 10 days, and wow, what a GREAT BOY!   He is such an easy-going dog. He is so affectionate and always wants to be near his person.  He knows most of the basics.  He is housetrained and crate trained.  He also loves going for car rides; he is so well behaved and a great co-pilot!

Pierce would love a big fenced in yard.  He LOVES to be outside!  He does the cutest little happy dance when you said the word “outside.”  He also dances for food as well!

We have gone on many walks, and he tends to keep to himself when he sees other dogs.  When we take neighborhood or park walks, I tell him off when a dog is approaching, and he does fine. He even has wag his tail at some other dogs.

Pierce is a great dog!  He is probably the easiest foster dog I have had…. he is low maintenance and really mellow!  He is ready for his forever family!
