Pookie is an adorable, 7 month old, 40 lb. lab mix who was surrendered by the owner as the mama dog had an unexpected pregnancy and could not keep the pups. She is very sweet, good with other dogs, cats and children of all ages. Pookie was an indoor/outdoor dog and does keep her kennel clean. Pookie loves playing fetch and swimming. Owner did say, the she will chase chickens.

FOSTER UPDATE
Pookie has been settling in nicely here. She’s all puppy and has a lot to learn, but she has a heart of gold and wants to please. She’s a cuddly queen and loves to give hugs. So far, her favorite part is running around the yard with her foster brother (see video below).
Pookie loves toys! Especially nylabone type chews. She hasn’t ripped up stuffed toys yet and seems to enjoy getting the zoomies with those! We are working on learning sit and walking on the leash. She will definitely do well with a family that is active and ready teach and train a puppy. She is SO smart and has a ton of potential to learn a lot.
VOLUNTEER UPDATE
Pookie thoroughly enjoys herself at doggie daycare as she loves to run and play with the other dogs. She has learned to walk well on the leash since coming to CLR. Pookie is an affectionate girl who loves to greet you with hugs and kisses while giving you her puppy eyes. Pookie loves to play outside and is very confident. She enjoys retrieving balls as you can see in the video below.
