8/1/2021 UPDATE: Porkchop arrived to CLR yesterday. Check back soon for an update!
Hi – I’m Porkchop! I’m 1.5 years old and weigh roughly 55lbs. I’m arriving to CLR with my best friend, Meatloaf! I’m a smart boy and a total people pleaser!
Porkchop and Meatloaf were found stray after their owners turned them loose. These two managed to get sprayed by a skunk! Luckily, someone within our rescue network took the stinky boys in and fostered them for a month before we could arrange their transport to Cincinnati.
Porkchop is the sweetest boy ever! He’s does great with people and other dogs. He’s super laid back and likes to sleep on his back with his feet in the air! Porkchop isn’t crazy about toys, but he loves having something to chew on. His foster says she never saw him run unless he was playing at the dog part…overall, he’s a very chill boy! We’re sure he’ll adjust extremely well in his new forever home.
Medical Note: Porkchop’s Heartworm test came back positive. Unfortunately, Cincinnati Lab Rescue has treated over 200 dogs for Heartworm, which is why we require all dogs be kept up-to-date on year-round Heartworm prevention. Porkchop can still go home with you and your family but will need to continue to visit the vet for treatment and lay low while he’s on the mend.
