UPDATE

12/27/2020 UPDATE: Walter arrived safely to CLR on 12/19. He has been in the kennel since his arrival, but will hopefully go into foster once things settle down after the holidays. Check back soon for an update!

Hi friends – I’m Walter! I’m 2 years old and weigh roughly 60lbs. I’m a very sweet boy, just a little underweight for my size and stature. I’m looking forward to going home with a family who will give me lots of love…and treats! I heard lots and LOTS of treats will help me bulk up a bit. What do you say!?

Walter is a beautiful dog who was found stray in Lexington County, Tennessee. He was transported to CLR mid-December, but we’ve been waiting to get photos that do this handsome boy justice. The volunteers who transported him to Cincinnati said not to be fooled… he may be a skinny guy right now, but you can tell he’s strong! He LOVES tennis balls and traveled with one from Tennessee. Since Walter has been living stray, it will likely take him some time to adjust to all the nuances of living in a home for the first time. We hope to get him into foster soon so we can learn more about his sweet personality and begin to make progress towards acclimating him to life inside.

Medical Note: Walter is Heartworm positive and will begin treatment on 12/29/20. He can still go home with you and your family, but will need to lay low and continue to come in for treatment while he’s on the mend.
