Meet Wicks, the 80lb lab with a heart as big as her paws!  Wicks is 1 year old that arrived to CLR after being surrendered by her owners after they could no longer care for her.

Wicks comes with a fantastic temperament that’s perfect for family fun, especially if there are kids involved – she’s a natural charmer!  She has lived with another dog in the past as well….so she loves humans and canines alike!

As for training, Wicks is one smart girl!  She is house trained, crate trained (with some barks), and walks well on a leash.  She also knows a few basic commands.   Yay, Wicks!

Stay tuned for more updates on this lovable goofball! If you’re ready for endless tail wags and puppy kisses, Wicks is your girl!

Updates

Wicks is the best foster ever!  She is so sweet and has the best personality.  She is housetrained and knows some of the basics.  She is still a little stressed in a crate but we are continuing to work on crate training.  She walks well on a leash and loves walks.  She does still need help with some of her manners (mainly jump), but she is learning quickly. She responds well to correction, but she is still a young dog and learning.

She is an amazing dog and companion, no doubt!

A note from Wicks….

Hello, my name is Wicks and I am a very happy and social girl.  I get along well with my temporary sisters.  I love playing with Harper.  She is lots of fun and she is only about 3 years older than me.  We love playing with bones, rope toys, and the stuffie toys.  I enjoy walks and walk well on a leash.  I do get excited when I see other dogs but can easily be corrected.  I aim to please!  My foster parents say jumping up is poor manners, so I am working on that.  I have had zero accidents in the house so I am potty trained!!  I do go in a crate, but it is not my favorite place to be.  My foster dad works from home so I am usually only in my crate at night.  My crate is right next to my foster parents.  What can I say, I love being with my people.  I am very affectionate and love head and butt scratches as well as belly rubs.  Come meet me!  I would love a forever home!
