Woody is a 2 year old, 70 lb champion who has a very sad story, but we know happier days are ahead! Woody was found caught in a coyote trap with damage to his leg. Once evaluated, they also realized that he had a baseball sized tumor on his back, so he was scheduled to be euthanized.

This is rescue!!! Our amazing network brought him to CLR. He had surgery to remove the tumor…..it was curative and non-cancerous! Yay!!! And the best news – our vets do not expect him to have any long term issues! He is a healthy boy! He is now on the road to recovery and looking for his forever home!

FOSTER UPDATE

Woody has been in foster for a week. He is an absolute sweetheart and I adore him! He is so calm and gentle and has the best temperament. He arrived very scared and shut down, and it has been amazing watching him blossom! He loves all humans and became fast friends with the dogs in the house. He’s just an all around good dude!

He has done amazing in the house. He is housetrained (no accidents) and he is very respectful. We have tried the crate, and he wants no part of it. He has been uncrated with free reign and does pretty well. Due to his transition, he does get nervous when left alone. It is improving as he is starting to build some confidence. Overall, I’m so impressed by his ability to quickly transition into the home. He has been through SO much!

Woody is generally very calm, but he has shown a playful side. He will occasionally chew on a bone or toy, and he has shown interest in tennis balls and is starting to play fetch. He will romp and play in the backyard with the other doggos as well. He is such a good boy!

I can’t wait to share more as his continues to transition! I love this sweet boy!
