Annie is a 1..5 yr old, 51 lb. sweet, beautiful girl from TN.  She is very affectionate towards people and enjoys other dogs.  She walks good on a leash and is crate trained.  Her owner was deported and his dogs were left behind to care for themselves.  A Good Samaritan took Miss Annie in and called a rescue to help find her a home.  Annie went straight into foster when arriving to CLR so stay tuned for foster updates.

FOSTER UPDATE

Annie is such a precious girl.  She has a heart of gold and demonstrates it through her actions.  She is affectionate and aims to please.  She is confident meeting new people and greets them with tail wags and kisses.  She is very gentle and does not jump.  In the last 24 hours, she has learned the commands “sit” and “stay”.  We are currently working  “paw”.  She is a very good leash walker and has been very well mannered with my two large labs.  She has been friendly meeting other dogs.

Annie loves her crate as she will just lay in it during the day while the door is open.  We have been crating her at night and when we are not at home.  Upon leaving, we use a treat to get her into her crate.  Once she is in the crate,  she just lays down.  She sleeps all night without a sound in her crate.  She was not familiar with going up and down stairs but has mastered the stairs after teaching her.  She is a very smart learner!  Annie likes to lay in the dog bed when taking naps outside the crate.  Annie has not had any accidents in the house as we have been letting her out every 3 hours or right after she is let out of the crate.  She will go to the door when she is interested in going outside.

Annie is a good eater as she eats twice a day at a nice pace.  We feed her in a separate room from our dogs because she likes to take her time eating.  She is learning how delicious treats are and is very motivated to do what is asked when they are presented to her.

Given Annie’s sweet disposition, she is ready for any family.  All she wants is attention, exercise,  love and a little bit of guidance on how to be a home companion.
