Volunteer update

Big Brody is absolutely beautiful!  He is a big boy and very muscular, but he walks well on a leash.  He has THE BEST labby lean and loved all of the cuddles from the volunteers this weekend.  He’s such a good boy!

Big Brody is the best boy! He is potty trained (6-8 hrs no problem) and knows basic commands. He is super eager to please humans for affection and seemingly is unconcerned about food and treats (both human and dog).

Brody LOVES to snuggle in soft places and lay his head on humans. He has some bursts of energy and likes to be outside but is also content snuggling the day away. He seemed intrigued by a new place with new noises but did not display any reactive or destructive behaviors.

Brody sleeps in a dog bed well at night (7-8 hrs), settles in a crate after a few minutes when humans are around.  He is a little nervous to be left alone, but that can be expected give the transition that he has been through over the past few weeks.  He just wants to be with his pack.

Brody would be a great adventure dog.  He does great on a leash, no pulling.  And he has never met a human stranger!  He truly is the bestest boy!

Brody had a day out exploring with a CLR volunteer today.  It was the best day ever!  He was so happy to have some love and attention.  Here are a few notes!

  • Personality-Brody is a Beautiful big boy that is wonderful on leash. When I stopped he also stopped. Looks to human for instruction. Loves, loves, loves to give kisses. Likes to fetch but likes to snuggle with human more.
  • Energy Level-He is a pretty low key boy!  He doesn’t have large energy level. Seems calm. Visited fellow CLR volunteer at dental office and loved everyone.
  • Known Commands-knows sit and is very gentle taking treats.
  • Interactions and introductions – He met a lot of new human friends and was so friendly and happy!  He walked by strangers and kids getting out of school and wasn’t interested.  He also didn’t respond or react to another dog on other side of the street.
  • Why I love Brody – He is SO affectionate! He loves to give kisses!

Brody is a BIG “baby” at 7 yrs old.  He just wants to be with his people and chill at your feet along with the occasional kiss to the face as he thinks he’s a lap dog.  Brody loves to go everywhere with you….he loves the park or just on a walk around the neighborhood ( he is perfect on a leash) or if you prefer chill out on the deck outside watching the birds.  If you’re looking for a buddy to hang out with this is your boy!

He prefers to be the only dog in the house and has a high prey drive on the cat front so no cats! Otherwise he is a perfect gentlemen looking for his furever home where he can be petted and loved on and sleep away the days with his humans.
