Meet the charming Big Brody – a 7-year-old, 75lb black lab with a heart as big as his love for belly rubs!

Personality:
Brody is sweet and affectionate.  He absolutely LOVES people and is always ready for a good snuggle session.  Brody needs to be in an adult only family….we are not recommending a home with children or other animals.  He does prefer a quiet home and to have all of the attention to himself.

Training:  Brody is a well-mannered gentleman. He’s housetrained and knows his basic commands.  When it comes to mealtime, he’s a gentle eater and he takes treats nicely.  As an added bonus, Brody is a pro on the leash – walks with him are always a joy!

Interests:  Adventure is Brody’s middle name! He loves being outside, whether it’s hiking, running, or just taking a leisurely stroll.  If you’re looking for a furry friend to join you on all your outdoor adventures, Brody is your guy!  He also loves toys and bones.  He’s always up for a game of fetch.

Big Brody is on the lookout for a forever home where he can share his love. If you’re ready to embark on a journey of tail-wagging happiness, meet Big Brody today!

Disclosure:  Brody will need a home with no children, dogs, or cats.

Updates

Brody is so sweet and gentle and will make anyone a great companion.
Brody spent the day at Houston Woods recently with his foster mom.  He listens so well and has such great eye contact.  This sweet boy loved paddling in the water and smelling the flowers.  He does ok with other dogs in the area but can be picky at times.  We find this to be fear based.  He loves to take several walks a day and is crate trained.

Brody is potty trained (6-8 hrs no problem) and knows basic commands. He is super eager to please humans for affection and seemingly is unconcerned about food and treats (both human and dog).

Brody LOVES to snuggle in soft places and lay his head on humans. He just wants to be with his people and chill at your feet along with the occasional kiss to the face as he thinks he’s a lap dog. He has some bursts of energy and likes to be outside but is also content snuggling the day away. He seemed intrigued by a new place with new noises but did not display any reactive or destructive behaviors.

Brody sleeps in a dog bed well at night (7-8 hrs), settles in a crate after a few minutes when humans are around.  He is a little nervous to be left alone, but that can be expected give the transition that he has been through over the past few weeks.  He just wants to be with his pack.

Brody would be a great adventure dog.  He does great on a leash, no pulling.  And he has never met a human stranger!  Brody loves to go everywhere with you….he loves the park or just on a walk around the neighborhood  he is perfect on a leash) or if you prefer chill out on the deck outside watching the birds.  If you’re looking for a buddy to hang out with this is your boy!
