Meet Big Foot!  He is a 9 month old, 80lb boy that lives up to his name!  This sweet boy arrived at CLR after he was found stray in Tennessee. He has a great temperament and is great with both people and other dogs.  He walks well on a leash and knows some basic commands – yay!  He is still a puppy so he is looking for a patient and active family to help teach him the ropes!

Big Foot is a new arrival — more pictures and updates to come!

Updates

Temporary Foster Update – Big Foot went into a temporary home over the weekend.  Here is an update!

Big Foot is such a sweet boy!  He is still a puppy and would love to have an active family to explore the world!  He is such a friendly boy and SO adorable!

He is still learning some house manners.  This might be his first real experience in a home.  Everything seemed new to him (TV, microwave, stairs etc).  He does seem to be a quick learner though!  He has not had any accidents in the house, but we are taking him out every few hours.  He also learned how to do the stairs!  Yay!  He is now a pro at stairs – this was something we easily trained him to do with the help of some turkey lunch meat.

He will need some help with crate training.  He will go inside with the help of a treat, but he is not comfortable for extended periods of time.  This might just be due to his transition and the anxiety of his first day. He wants to be with his pack!

He has been exposed to cats.  He is interested in them, not maliciously but is still learning to read their social cues and boundaries.

All in all, Big Foot is a great dog!  With a little bit of love and patience, he will make the perfect addition to any family!
