Jiffy……a prancing, black beauty of a boy! Jiffy is a 5 year old , 59 lb adorable bundle of fur who adores his belly rubbed (see video below) and a good petting by all. He is very underweight as he was rescued from a neglectful situation but loves food and treats if you are willing to share. He is a happy boy who will raise his hand for a treat (see video below), loves toys and is good on a leash wagging his tail the entire walk. Jiffy is a trusting, gentle dog who is good with dogs and kids. This smart boy knows how to sit, paw and lay down. He just wants to be someone’s companion for life to share the over abundance of love he has to share. One more loving mention of this lovable, unique fellow…….he lounges in the bathtub when getting a bath. Gotta love this about him!!

FOSTER UPDATE
Jiffy is settling in to foster. He is seriously THE BEST dog! He has such a sweet and gentle personality and loves hanging out with both humans and other dogs. He will give you a big paw for pets and then he will close his eyes and look to the sky whenever you give him scratches….he just loves to be loved!
As for training, he has not had any accidents so he is doing well with housetraining. He will go to the door when he needs out. He has been battling some stomach issues so he is getting frequent outdoor breaks. He knows a few basic commands and loves treats! He walks well on a leash and is a good car rider….although he is a little scared about getting into the car.
Jiffy is very underweight. He is currently about 62lbs, but he needs another 15lbs to get to a healthy weight. I am doing 3 feedings per day to help with weight gain.
Jiffy likes to play with toys and bones. He is still trying to figure out how to play fetch. He is good about sticking to his toys but he will occasionally grab a slipper. He does great when you redirect him. He is such a fast learner!
I kid-tested Jiffy yesterday, and he did great! He met a 4 and 2 year old. He was very nervous around the little people at first but settled in quickly. He was fast friends!
