12/6/2020 UPDATE: Raya arrived safely to CLR yesterday and immediately went info foster with one of our more experienced fosters. Check back soon for an update!
Hi everyone – I’m Raya! I’m 9 years old and weigh 50lbs. I’m VERY affectionate and love attention! My favorite activities are going for walks (I even know how to walk on a leash!) and playing fetch….and I love any bone I can get my hands on! I’ve been told I’m pretty playful and energetic for a 9 year old girl.
Raya was surrendered to CLR when her previous family had a baby who developed allergies. They felt it was in everyone’s best interest to find Raya a new home. She is housebroken and is able to stay home alone without being crated, but also enjoys spending time in her kennel during the day if needed. She comes from a home with another dog, a cat, and a child and got along well with everyone. She chased the cat on occasion, but only if he was teasing her and wanted to play!
Raya is terrified of thunder, fireworks, and other loud noises. She has a thundershirt to keep her calm during storms. For this reason, she wouldn’t make a good hunting dog. She also likes to dig when left outside unattended, so you’ll need to keep an eye on her around your garden! She was an excellent copilot during her transport to Cincinnati and enjoyed riding shotgun and watching out the window. She is such a gentle girl, and will be the perfect addition to a family where she’ll receive lots of attention, affection, and excercise.
