RITA – ADOPTED

None of us have the heart to tell Rita she isn’t a full lab since she is already convinced she is 100% labrador.  We can easily confess that she has the typical lab, loving personality, and our best guess is lab/border collie. She arrived with her best friend Fergie, who physically mirrors a lab. So you understand why Rita is at CLR, we would never separate two dogs that had been together prior to their arrival.  They do not need to be adopted together, but we just couldn’t leave this precious girl behind.  Rita has garnered a lot of attention from her transport team and has captured every single heart along the way.  She is only 9 months old, 37 pounds, and our favorite description is, “She is an absolute doll!”  When we discovered she and Fergie were left at at dumpster, our only response was, “How quickly can we get them?”

She has an appointment scheduled with an orthopedic surgeon to determine how to help her to regain the use of her one front paw.  After a limited consult, he thinks surgery will take care of everything and fingers crossed that will be the solution.  Just imagine almost a lab  finding a wonderful home where she can live her best life.
