UPDATE

2/27/22 FOSTER UPDATE: Wesley is a 66lb bundle of pure love. He is snuggly, loves walks (and walks pretty well on a leash), and more easy-going than any dog I’ve ever met. He goes to bed when you go to bed and wakes up when you wake up, does well in a crate, loves car rides, and covers new people in kisses. He gets so excited when he meets new people or sees his leash that he jumps for joy, so we’re working on him recognizing his own size and keeping 4 paws on the floor. He gets along with other dogs when introduced appropriately, and he co-exists well with cats. He would be best in a family that loves to cuddle and is willing to take him on a decently long walk (or two) every day – not because he misbehaves if he doesn’t get this much exercise, but just because he loves it! He is working on basic commands like “sit” and recognizing his name, but he is so laid back you don’t even notice. He’s learning how to play with toys, and his Kong is growing on him. Overall, he’s as close to perfect as a dog can get!
