6/14/21 UPDATE: Wrangler arrived safely to CLR two days ago. Check back soon for an update!
I’m Wrangler! I’m 2.5 years old and weigh 54lbs. I love human attention and snuggles soooo much! I also love to play. I’m not a huge fan of cats (I can’t understand why they don’t want to play with me!) and will need to go to a cat-free home.
Wrangler is the sweetest boy! We think he’s either a flat-coated Retriever or a Newfie/Lab mix. He comes to CLR from a hoarding case in Tennessee. We are devastated to report that this boy was one of hundreds of dogs living on a single property. Wrangler loves face scratches and kept trying to give our volunteers his paw for a hug when we first met him! He’s also used to being around many other dogs and did extremely well interacting with his rescue companions.
Wrangler was adopted for a brief period of time, however it turns out he does not get along with cats. His adopter said she had zero issues with him chewing on things he’s not supposed to. He goes to the door when he wants to go out, not always to potty, but sometimes just to play! He still jumps a bit, but stays down when you set him down so we know he can be trained not to jump. He’s still working on leash manners and crate training, but with consistency and patience he’ll get the hang of things in no time! He is incredibly adorable and has the sweetest family. He will be the perfect dog for someone without cats!
