10/4/20 UPDATE: Bentley arrived safely to CLR yesterday and will hopefully go into foster sometime this week. Check back soon for an update!
I’m Bentley! I’m roughly eight years old, and at 90 pounds I’m a big beefy boy. I already love you. I can tell because I love absolutely EVERYBODY! I’ve been told I’m pretty smart – I know several commands. I fit the Lab profile and love water! I think I should come home with your family for some snuggles.
Bentley is a gentle giant and total wiggle-butt who thrives on human attention. His original owner was unfortunately diagnosed with brain cancer; as his illness worsened, Bentley spent more and more time in his crate. Bentley has a lot of resentment towards his crate as a result and has learned to bite the bars of wire crates to let himself out. This escape artist will need to be kept in an airline crate when crated.
After his owner sadly passed, Bentley went to live with the owner’s father who took excellent care of him and got him up-to-date on all his vetting. He was unfortunately unable to take care of him long-term due to his age. From there, Bentley was passed to a friend who relegated him to outside and permits him to run free around the neighborhood. Neighbors reached out to CLR out of concern for Bentley’s safely. We’re so grateful for the chance to find Bentley a stable home where he can soak up all the human affection he loves so much!
